All bookings and hires completed through Move Yourself will incur a Deposit Payment. This payment is automatically refunded back to you immediately after returning the hire item via our Self-serve Kiosk. While this transaction takes place immediately and the money leaves our account straight away, the bank takes approximately 3-5 working days to complete the transaction.
To ensure the prompt return of the money to your account please ensure you return the hire item through the Self-serve Kiosk. Failure to return via the self-serve kiosk may lead to delays in the refunding of your deposit.
If a refund has taken place but it is not the full amount, this may be because you choose to extend your hire, or you failed to return all items for the hire (e.g. Padlock, key or leads). Failure to return any of the items involved with the hire (e.g. Padlock, key or leads) will incur in the deposit amount being reduced or the whole deposit kept. If you have not seen the refund after 5 working days please ensure the account you are checking was used for the original booking/hire payment.
If the hire or booking was paid for by an account that may have been closed, we will be unable to retrieve the funds. You will need to contact your bank to organise a funds transfer between the concerned account and your new account.
In most cases we find that we have completed the refund of the deposit and the receiving bank has the funds. If you are unsure please contact your bank.
