Q. How old do you need to be to hire a trailer?
A. You must be 18 years or older and you need to be at least a probationary driver to tow a trailer. There are no special licenses required to tow trailers, but if you are unsure of how to tow a trailer please read our Towing Tips section.
Q. What sort of braking system do you have on your trailers?
A. All of our trailers that are braked are fitted with an over ride braking system. The way the over ride brake system works, is by inertia. The harder the vehicles brakes are applied, the trailer then catches up and applies its brakes via a plunger mounted inside the coupling which slides in activating the braking device on the wheels.
PLEASE NOTE: The trailer brakes are not designed to pull the towing vehicle up. They are designed to assist the towing vehicle's braking only.

Q. What sort of electrical fittings do you have on your trailers?
A.All of our trailers are fitted with 7 pin LARGE metal bases which are looped for 7 pin and 5 pin plugs. If you have a plug that is different than the one on the trailer, don't worry we have all of the plug types inside the agent's shop.
TECHNICAL TIP: If you have a large 7 or 5 pin plug base on your car same as the trailer, and you plug the lead in to check the lights and you only get brake and tail lights working, just turn the lead around and that should rectify the problem.
